House Van der Merwe is a three-bedroom luxury beach house set in the picturesque town of Yzerfontein, South Africa. Perched on a dune, overlooking the ocean, the house draws inspiration from the breaking waves of the Atlantic. Design cues were taken from details of passing ships as well as the abundant shells found on the local beach create an architectural language that translates the natural surroundings to the built environment.
